No, I’m not telling anyone to kiss off.
Well, he can kiss ME!
Ahem.
Back on topic… topic… what was the topic… OH YEAH!!!! I have decided on my first REAL knitting project!!!! Drumroll please…
Tahdah!!!
Wristers, wrist-warmers, fingerless gloves…. however mine won’t be so heavy and a shade of not quite minty green. According to Lion-brand (heh heh) these are a Level 1 beginner project. Meaning easiest of the easy.
I’m easy.
Not really.
Yes, I will have pictures and we can compare-contrast and laugh our butts off.

still cranky. Need chocolate, but my blood sugar has been sky high the last few days. (280’s) I wonder if that has anything to do with my need to stab stupid people with my knitting needles…
Nice idea. I use those mitten thingies myself. Mind you – bit of a winter project, or are you calculating you won’t be done with this until November??? 😉 (No offense meant – I applaud your crafty endeavours! Way to go!)
I love fingerless gloves! Really. Somewhere I have a pattern for Ogre fingerless gloves with a matching Ogre headband – but they are a level 3 beginning and you know, you have to start SOMEWHERE!!!
(Also again the yarn I’m using for this project isn’t as fuzzy or heavy. And I like my wrists warm!!!!)
also there are harder projects I want to tackle and I need to make sure I can actually do SOMETHING before I tackle them!!!! Have you seen my latest rows? I think they’re quite nice!!!
Yes, they are. (Although I think you should get rid of that particular practice piece – the hooks at the bottom would drive me mad :-D)
Good idea to start with a less ambitious project. Let me know how you get on – I might try knitting mittens, too. (But only come November – wool and summer don’t mix for me.)
The ‘hooks’ are due to a particularly back-assed way of casting on. I’m currently practicing the Continental Long tail cast on. Not sure if I like it better yet…
Seasonal doesn’t bug me a bit. My biggest fear is I’ll get started and not finish. *looks at 2 fics I’ve begun that have now languished for over a year…. also a rather nice cross stitch piece I’ve played in now for… oh… 20 years…. it’s big… *
I have decided I DEFINITELY like the Continental Long Tailed cast on!!!! While practicing it, I came up with a crap load of plot devices.
Actually, I think I need to market Guy’s Glazed Nuts…
