I am going home for the weekend and I need to get Spawn up and pack the car and settle the house, so I will make this short and sweet and straight to the point. It’s been a horrid week! Worst fight ever! Don’t expect to see me this weekend!!!

Man Candy Monday

There was time if I wanted a book, music, movie… I could get them. Easy. Really easy.

Those days are gone. Especially books. The cost of an ebook is ridiculous and right now, all three of my kindles are not up to snuff. My fire won’t load books at all, my PC Kindle crashes at the slightest whim, not to mention the more of them that are ‘opened’ and loaded, the heavier it is. It already takes 2 hours for the damn thing to open up and when it does, it eats up more than 65% of my memory. I still use my 5 button, but it no longer goes online and I can’t get it reregistered. The  books I got elsewhere besides Amazon I can manually load, but the ones I get from Amazon? Nope.

It’s a stupid thing to whine over, I know. My blood sugar is up and I have cotton mouth. We are looking at another tight pay period. Good news with that, is we are eating at home a lot, which we should.

And we saw a lot of death again this weekend, from one that was expected to several that weren’t. And then a total shocker, for me. Right now, I’m just trying to function.

I’m hungry and it’s an early lunch, but a LONG day. Meh.

Happy Guy Day!!!!

First off, I’d like to thank you all for the little extra push for my bucket band! Honest, I didn’t expect it to go live for a few more days – at least AFTER the  birthday auction and it went live sooner. It seems if you still put RIPPLE in the promotion box, donations will still be doubled! My kids will be SOOO stoked! I’ll be stoked!!!

Are we looking for the weekend? I am! I certainly am! 163 days until Summer Vacay!!! We have a retired teacher doing a long term and she told me I need to check with the county office about aid/help for my masters as well as a few other things. With me being a single parent with a Special Needs Adult, I should be able to get some help out the whazoo for my Masters, which will help with my RETIREMENT and oh by the way, talk to people when you turn 60. You’ll be surprised how much your retirement WILL be. So we’ll see.

Labor Day next weekend – I’ll be Out Of Town! Going home to Mama!

Do laundry. Get some clothes taken up!

I have a 3rd grader who is paying attention to what I wear – and it’s a boy. He thinks jeans are beneath me (You have so many pretty clothes. Why?) and in 15 days I wore one pair of shoes three times! Don’t you have enough shoes? 

I’m thinking – Should I be flattered or concerned??? 

No frogs on my windshield for 3 days now. Yessss!

Happy Birthday, Richard

I know the chances of you seeing these birthday wishes are pretty nil, but the sentiment is there.

I’m really bad at writing happy happy joy joy posts or deep thought posts or uplifting posts, but I’m going to try. I hope the best day of the previous year is the worst day of the next. I know that right now, you’re preoccupied with other things. I’m sorry. All I can do is send comforting thoughts and prayers and vibes. You know, she’s watching. And still proud. So, happy birthday, Richard.

Frog!

Okay, so yesterday morning, on my way into work, I realize there is a little tree frog huddling on my driver’s outside mirror. I’m doing 60 up 516, there is no where to pull over, so I can’t do anything for him. Poor thing is hanging on for dear life and glaring at me. The wind finally slapped him on my mirror and he crawled behind it after giving me a final nasty look.

I prayed that while I was at work, he would find his way out and onto greener pastures, but apparently that wasn’t to be.

While I was stuck in backup on I95, I realize he’s BACK and slowly making his way across my windshield! He glared at me the entire time and finally took a flying leap into the scrub after a mile.

Weird frog.

I feel like complete crappola!!! My head weighs a ton! I have a voice (something I didn’t have on Friday!) but my back sinuses are plugged and I’m dripping. Takes ‘drippy vessel’ to a whole new level.
