Zee Reads

Hey ya’ll and welcome to almost the end of the week! Tomorrow is Guy Day, however, I’m having the next stage of my deep cleaning tomorrow. As I’m teaching in the morning, I have a lot of stuff to finish up – cleaning off my desk, getting things laid out for my afternoon classes, I have a list of names for an upcoming field drip to turn in and want to ask about another trip for my maybe band students.

And then having a giant water jack hammer taken to my mouth. Guy Day MIGHT be on Saturday. Just sayin’.

Anyway, it is the end of the month, it’s my Dad’s birthday. My kids sang to him today. It was quite moving.

It is also Zee Reads. As you might recall, I have a CRAZY book challenge. I’m thinking if I can finish 4 to 5 books a month, I might have a crack at this. Of course, I am going to allow SOME books to double up. As it’s a Harry Potter Challenge, chances are there will be a LOT of fantasy this year. So let’s get this party started. I’m actually going to attempt to read these in order.

So a class made me cry today

and NOT sad tears.

The entire school is  working on our Black History Month program for the end of February and my 4th and 5th grade are singing this FABULOUS song with the chorus taken from the iconic speech from Martin Luther King Jr’s Free At Last. My 5th grade has been working on this song only since Monday – and today they sang it with SUCH raw emotion and power, (and nailing the words and melody, I must say!) I had to stop conducting and burst into tears.

This year has been such a difficult horrid year. I’m seriously looking at transfer options as well as opportunities in surrounding counties. But this made this week worth it all!

I’ve been up since 4:30.  😦

ManCandy Monday

So apparently, Richard has been cast in the lead of a new crime drama which will be shown on Netflix.

Sigh.

Don’t get me wrong, yay more Richard somewhere accessible for me. But a crime drama?

I know, I know, how selfish of me to want a comedy or something besides… a crime drama. I’ll watch it anyway.

Then again, maybe this is where his comment about ‘full frontal nudity’ came from. If that’s the case, I’m perking up right now.

Several items came in Friday for me. I must say I was spectacularly underwhelmed. This looks like a bag on me!

Like three sizes too big. I can’t believe it. The cost to return it is pretty much what it cost and I can’t exchange it. Oh well. I’ll see what I can do with it, if that doesn’t work, see if mom can alter it or what it would cost to alter it (it’s not lined) and if that’s too much hassle or work, I’ll donate it to the women’s shelter.

So, it’s ManCandy time. Let’s get to it!

stupidity behind the cut. No, I’ve spent NADA!!!!

ManCandy Monday

Like many here in the South, I have the day off. And like many, I have a load of things to do today. Clean kitchen. Take Christmas decs to the garage. Clean bedroom. Grocery Store. Write. Starbucks to do things my internet provider frowns on. Those sorts of things.

It is COLD here in the sunny south. Saturday’s high was 75. Yesterday’s high was 52. These sorts of things make a girl sick. Which reminds me, I need to check the Vitamin C stockpile.

These beauties are stuck between point A and point B – because of the shutdown (which I don’t understand as my mail is still running.) Irritating as I purchased them a month ago.

I really need to show a bit more self control!!!!

Slightly early Happy Guy Day

I have a 7:30 AM dental appointment in the morning that is NOT going to make my day! I”ve already dug out pain killers to start my morning! So I’m posting Guy Day tonight.

All that said.

I found out WHO my mystery romance novel man is.

His looks have been compared to Sean Penn’s and I think he’s better looking than Sean. Either way – he’s 45 year married actor name Michael Foster and his credits include the Walking Dead among others.

So now I’m satisfied. Between him and Jimmy, I”m NOT perving on a kid. 40’s is okay.

Are we ready for some Guy???
