A surprise for me

As a few of you know, I’ve had a pretty shitty week. What I thought was in the bag and mine, was not, and it was a rather devastating blow. I have a deadline coming up and I don’t see me accomplishing it. This is not a deadline I can brush off. It HAS to happen.

Either way, a gift arrived for me this evening and yet again, I am just humbled by the love of my friends.

These were accompanied by dark chocolate.

Chocolate which was eyeballed by a certain sweetheart…

I shared.

Apparently, lunch will be included with this…

I’m thinking Thorout’s sassy little head tilt is on the sexy side

He certainly is a charmer! And he hasn’t budged an iota since I put him there.

Meanwhile, we have…

Why?

Why do people follow me on Twitter?

I’m rarely there. Honest. And when i AM there… I’m not nice. I make an EFFORT – and it’s hard, let me tell you – to be nice here and on Tumblr and Facebook… but for Twitter? that’s my place where I am NOT nice (and the character limit has a LOT to do with it!)

So I’m rather shocked every time someone follows me there.

See, even Guy knows I’m a right bear there.

ooooooh he is TESTING me!

After a week of dancing up and down the 3Terrabyte external – which sits atop 3 other externals, POP!Thorin got wind of my plan to swap him with Thorout. (which I need to do anyway due to fairness.)

Either way , he has spent the entire day in one spot, not moving, but watching me.

this is war.

POP!Thorin is a wiley bugger

He apparently caught on to my scheme to swap him with his identical twin – Thorout! – in the coveted King Over the Externals spot.

Therefore, last night, he did not move. His POP!Boots are still firmly planted evenly on the back of the 3 Terrabyte.

I’ve got my eye on you….

A little… spooky

SO this past week, I’ve made a rather … unsettling discovery.

My POP!Thorin is moving around on his own.

REALLY!

POP!Thorin is part of my little Richard shrine – He sits on top of my externals – yes he is King over the Externals – towards the back, surveying all he owns. But in the past week, he’s been moving all over that external.

It does not vibrate, wiggle, and it isn’t in the path of the vents, so that’s not it. He just… well… moves.

This was yesterday morning.

THIS  was when we returned from the southern parts of our journey.

He not only moved up over an inch, he turned completely sideways.

I moved him back and this morning he had moved up an inch and to the right, rather than the left.

I consider this eerie.

It is finished

Went well. Had a surprise… that I hope I handled well. Completely unexpected and wonderful.

Decision will be made next week. Have been asked for references. I can do that.

The Muses began clamoring once I got in the car. Happy noise.

I’m thinking I might spend the evening watching Outlander or Almost Human and knitting. Since Friday… okay, since SATURDAY I’ve written a largish chapter of Manna and a sweet Uncle Thorin ficlet. The boys can settle their butts down. I might decide to check out houses… or apartments… Prefer a house… with a garage to put my junk in.
