So I was thinking…

Normally, I don’t do this…

Brag. I mean it’s one thing to be happy I finished a silly little beanie with a funky pointed top that needs… well squigglies or charms… and I’m proud of myself, so don’t get me wrong…

But I cross stitch – and my backs are frame worthy.

Behold – for those of you who’ve read my silly Rohirrim fics, this was the piece that inspired Aefre’s wedding gown. It’s not done. My eyes are getting bad and the thing is done on 28 count (that would be 28 threads per square inch) and my light magnifying lamp needs a bulb. Stupid thing, but I’m getting to a point where a small lamp with no shade between the feet is necessary as well. If I had an entire weekend with nothing to do, no one to bother me… I could finish this..

The city on the hill (Edoras, in my mind) isn’t done (It’s only 3 shades of brown.) her shoe, some beading in her hair, the outlining on her face and her underdress (which, btw is 17 different shades of blue and blended needle blue) Oh and the one spot of her purple overdress.  But you get the gist.

This is intricate. so I REALLY need to get awesome at knitting and crocheting. Really.

Almost there

Not so pretty but oh so dang proud!!!

When I moved off the circular needles, I immediately dropped 4 stitches in the new go round. Thank God for Angie and her little ‘secret weapon’ for popping those babies back on the right needle!

HOLY CAZONES!!!!

I am booked through the 28th!!!! YOWZER!!!!

And the pay period isn’t over until 11/7 so I can still add to that!!!

This means… yarn… and money for The Hobbit. And small Christmas…

Really, I cannot contain my joy…

It has been

a rainy, dreary day in Georgia. Very rainy. Very dreary. I’ve drank a lot of tea and finished a book – The Ark, by Boyd Morrison.

I started a new ski cap – it will match my fingerless opera gloves. At my knit group tomorrow, I will move the blue-grey one I’m doing over from the circular needles to the double ended needles. And when I finish both hats, I’ll make a gray one to match the wristers I’ve made my sister for Christmas.

I finally caught up on Sleepy Hollow. Ichabod, you are hawt hawt hawt – NOT as Hawt as Richard, but damn Tom, you are…. we must have a chat with England. The best thing they have done for the world is the export of these gorgeous, intellectual, dark haired, light -eyed men they’ve been tossing our way.

I have quite a bit of busy work lined up for the next 3 weeks. It’s not much of a paycheck, but it will be enough to pay the bills, pay what I still owe on my car and have some left over. Yarn. I love yarn anymore. I told my son I want a yarn bowl for my birthday or Christmas. And I want yarn. And needles. The busy work means I can write. Manna is on the final part of the back stretch and then there are plans to convert it into something original.

And I have my Big Bang to work on as well. I’m hoping both will be completed by end November. And I have a sweet Gary Fuller bunny nibbling on my toes. And then… convert Manna and see what happens.

Oh. And I started watching North and South. Just finished up Episode 1. Going off to pick up pizza. And then Episode 2.

Oh. Must have picture of Richard. Must.

That makes me feel good.

Music to my ears

There is a coyote sitting in our driveway, howling at the moon.

It’s quite beautiful.

And very creepy.
