Not the transmission! Needs new sparkies and a tune up. With the diagnostic and the oil change – the tune of $500.00 buckies. I can cope with that. Means my tax return will be used for things OTHER than what I planned, but I won’t have to take a loan or go deeper in debt with a (newer) car.

Good news, what a relief for you!
I’ll be really relieved when the work is done. Right now, the gas mileage is nose-diving big time because the spark plugs are misfiring and the engine is pulling hard. Just… it’s never a good time for stuff like this to happen, but at least it wasn’t worse!
