it pours.
Yesterday, on the way home, there was road debris in the middle of my lane. I didn’t see it until it was too late and I had an 18 wheeler to my immediate right and no shoulder on the left.
It wasn’t huge, so I figured I could straddle it and be okay. I forgot that my very heavy Chevy is low to the ground. I hit it and I hit it hard.
There were 3 cars pulled over with flat tires, so I waited for the tell-tale hiss from mine. Nada. I got home and was thankful.
I got up this morning to find transmission fluid all over the ground. Car would crank but wouldn’t go into gear. Luckily for me, my insurance covered the tow to Chevy. According to them, I had a dead center impact to the pan. They are keeping her over night to repair. Lucky insurance is covering that as well. A co-worker is giving me a ride.
Right now, I’m just tired. Way so serious tired… have some Richard.
She’s got that right!
Thank goodness it wasn’t worse and great that insurance covers it!
Well I’m praying more damage isn’t found underneath!
Let’s hope.
And by the way, “I’ll have what she’s having.”😯
You and me both!
Hahaha Sue best line in a movie ever!!!
I’m driving home now and the Beatles “Let It Be” is

Oh and a postscript the next song that came on was

Sending virtual hugs 🤗
I’m so glad I don’t drive, I’d have been terrified! But you drove on, you’re a trooper petal ❤❤❤
Not many places here you can survive WITHOUT a car. Big urban areas, sure, but you’ll spend forever on the tram or bus. When I was in college, I spent 2 semesters riding the train, but it took me over an hour to get from point A to point B and there were days, I didn’t leave until late at night and it was scary to walk to the terminal. So I started driving it.
I’m a perminant pedestrian, I don’t think I’m emotionally disposed to being a driver, I’d have to gave a big light up sign on the back of the car that flashed SORRY! everytime I did any thing 😊 Here it’s not really a problem, and I love trains! I was lucky enough to have been able to walk to work for the last 20 odd years. It made life so much more straightforward doncha know 😉
I walked all over GSU when I was in college. The university was spread over a mile and I had classes all over. You would THINK I would be thin, but NO!!!!
Lol me neither, I remember being told that my walking ‘wasn’t aerobic enough’, you just can’t win dear.
