So last night, I was digging through a folder on an old external that I’ve not accessed in a few years. Since before I moved down here, to be honest. It stirred up bunnies (plots)
Could be used for purposes other than the what it was intended for – a different fandom…
(remember when I said fan art was plentiful?)
Some of it was funny!
and reminded me of something I’ve thought for a long, long time but for some odd reason forgot about when the question came up.
C – Name a book that you think RA should play in a film adaptation.
Lan Mandragoran, King of Malkier. From The Wheel of Time.
Lan is pretty awesome. Stubborn. Proud. And as king, very noble, even if his kingdom has been taken over by The Blight and he was snuck out as an infant by oh, half a dozen soldiers, the LAST Malkierian honor guard. And that man can fight.
Yeah. That’s who Richard needs to play.

As of late, my free time to read has been at night, when I go to bed. So it’s taking me longer to read a book than normal.

I had forgotten how much Severus Snape fanart I have. A lot of the artists took into account that Snape was 20 years younger than Alan Rickman, when he played him so beautifully. The only REAL problem I came across was the fact many shipped him with Hermione Granger so at times, the artwork was… inappropriate.
Either way, In looking through my things, I discovered some could be used for other things – in my case, some Aside stuff.
The Wheel of Time was a seriously Epic Fantasy the size and scope of Professor Tolkien’s Middle Earth. It, however is ONE continuous storyline that takes place over several years, not centuries. It has a cast of thousands,. more plots and subplots and took 2 authors to complete. Robert Jordan – the original author – died during the writing of what he thought was the last book. He knew he was dying so he asked his wife and editor to find someone to finish the series as he was so close to finish it if he couldn’t.
His wife contacted Brandon Sanderson – an upcoming fantasy author (who has written some awesome stuff) who was also a fan to finish the book. He was told the book was 3/4th done with an outline. What he GOT was a shoebox pull of sticky notes and I believe a note book or two….
And one book became 3.
It is a difficult series to complete in one, continuous sitting. I’ve tried twice and failed both times. Each book is huge – on the average 400K+ words – so bigger than Manna.
I want to say I’ve loaned this out before. Check your archives and double check. If you don’t have them, I’ll share them again.

Wow. That fan art is beautiful! Snape? I really would have thought it was Guy.

I need to find my entire stash. I saved a lot back in the day. Young Snape DOES look a lot like Guy and depending on the background, can be used – at least for brain fodder.
