I think of everything we did – and we did a lot in 3 days – when Suitor took Spawn and myself down the Atlantic Coast, the Morikami Japanese Gardens was my favorite. I was exhausted, worn out, was not looking forward to driving home 7 hours that afternoon. We had to go back and pick up Suitor’s car and get the tire fixed and of course, my car broke down while there and we ended up spending the night, allowing Spawn to watch and photograph the rocket launch (pictures were posted a few days back) and allowing me some much needed sleep! But this place was so relaxing and beautiful.
I’m going to load a LOT of pictures behind the cut and I’m not posting all of them, but had it not been so hot, I would have stayed for many hours, not just the 3 or 4 we did stay. We also had to duck the Pokemon hunters. They were very polite, but damn there were a lot of them.
The rock gardens were beautiful, there was quite a bit of sculpture, all of it beautiful, the flora were exquisite, the bonsai and museum were gorgeous and while there was a sign warning of a maybe alligator, the only lizards we saw , while VERY large, were also very vegetarian. And NOT shy in the least! The one jackrabbit was very shy and simply darted from shade to shade.
They had silk hand-painted kimonos. I was very jealous I couldn’t afford one and I did look for one like Francis had. Nope. None of them would have fit me anyway. 😦
If you’re in the mood, turn THIS on and then go look behind the cut. I hope WP lets me load up all of the ones I’ve pulled aside. My son took these. He’s very proud of them. So am I. Enjoy
Pokemon Go???? Pokemon Went!
