Things I am thankful for

I am thankful that right now my trunk is full of suitcases and misc stuff (NOT everything) and will have more stuff in it by the end of the day.

And I’m VERY thankful that in 7 hours, I will have the key to my home in hand.

I am NOT happy about sleeping on an air mattress for 2 and a half weeks. (Okay, I’ll probably get to sleep in a bed Thanksgiving weekend,  but still, not MY bed until December 5th!

But I’ll live.

I asked His Oakenshieldness if he wanted to go to the house TONIGHT or wait until I go for good on Monday.

he reminded me he’s a plastic figure and well, if you insist, I’d like to go with you on Monday.

Things I’m looking forward to in one week

I am looking forward to getting up in the morning, going out to my car and NOT finding cigarette butts or peanut shells or trash ON my car.

Obviously, this is not my edit.

Counting it down…

One week from today, I will begin the arduous task of going DOWN to the storage unit and bringing carloads of boxes and other small and breakable items up from the storage unit to my new abode. I think my days of using a quarter tank of gas a week are over. This week, I dont’ think I spent 1/8th a tank of gas. I’ve gone nowhere but school and back. I filled up a week ago Friday, went to the grocery, and that’s been it.

I still haven’t been able to schedule a weekend to rent a 24 foot truck and bring the furniture up. I do intend to rent a 10 footer while Spawn is here (in 2 weeks) if I can’t find someone to help drive and unload for just boxes.

OR if I luck up and I’m able to find a driver and help to unload in 2 weeks, I”ll cram what I can and then go from there. Considering the deposits I still have to shell out, I’m thinking of just biting the bullet, putting up with sleeping on the air mattress and scheduling for the first weekend of December for the major move.

Of course, Friday night, I’ll be at the local Wally World, buying things like blinds and shower curtains spring rods and sheers. A card table and 2 folding chairs. Somewhere at mom’s have I have power drill (which I’ve had for 10 years…. and it’s never been taken out of the box. Never ever.)

And sometime next week, I have to clear out my motel room. I’ll be packing this week. Actually, I will be attempting to clean today. (I say attempt because the Muse BIT me hard this week. I’m going to attempt to appease him. William is angry. William is deadly, murderously angry.) We have Wednesday off and i will definitely pack the place then. Vacuuming, scrubbing things. It will be cleaner when I leave than when I arrived. Wondering if the place will give me a hard time about my security deposit or if they’ll offer me more than a free pillowcase in lieu of my stolen items???

Better not.

Stuff that is so not mine… and for all of us NOT lucky enough to attend the screenings in Leeds.

OH! Before I forget (what?) – I finally started watching Spooks this week. Was blown away by episode 1 of season 7 and jointly watched episode 2 while chatrooming with my buddy Jolly. I know what I’m going to be watching until I get internet. Or binge watching when I get moved in! WOW! Just… WOW!!!!!

I know that header makes no sense but it will. Actually, most of you know me rather well. You’ll probably understand it now.

After a few nights of NO sleep, I mean really bad nights, too much going on, mind just refusing to STOP AND GIVE ME A BREAK … I crashed at some ungodly early hour last night.

Bad thing about going to sleep early is… you guessed it… waking up before the crack of dawn.

Meh.

One week from today…. I SIGN MY LEASE AND MOVE!!!!!

soooooooooooo excited. NOT excited about sleeping on the air mattress until I get my things moved. Still haven’t arranged a truck. Still have no one to help me move. Can NOT afford movers.
