Oh Zee – fantastic! Great thing to do!
I was sooo disappointed today. I asked my hubs to measure my ponytail, and it is only 11 inches long. My hair doesn’t grow longer than that, but I had hoped to cut it and donate it, too. The charity only accepts anything from 14 inches. 😦
Here they accept 12 inches to start. I read it takes 5 ponytails to make one wig. I hope someone gets a lot of use out of mine. My hairdresser couldn’t find any grey or silver or white even though I told her where it was at.
I would’ve thought any bit of hair helps. Especially because they need so much for just one wig. (I am so sick and tired of my long hair… I really want to get rid of it.)
I head home this afternoon and barring how tired I am from the drive and how long it takes me to unload the car, I should be able to reread, do some suggested edits and load it there.
oh that’s great! so nice of you to do! and i know how much people appreciate it when they need to wear a wig (friend of mine had to because of chemo and hair loss was a really big issue for her)
Mine grows and grows but it is curly and getting it half down my back is completely unmanageable 😦 It is now slightly below my shoulders but a total pain . Unfortunately i don’t think they would make any use of this length. Problem is here with the very hard water no amount of conditioner will make it less dry and not tangle when it gets slightly longer, which is a shame….
i am sure soft is nice!!! not that i would know how that feels though i do try! i guess we all want what we don’t have hair -wise 😉 I did think of donating mine when i chopped it off last which was about 7-8 months but with curly i don’t think i can get it long enough too bad 😦 Not sure they’d want curly anyway, no styling possible.

Mine was driving me crazy. It’s baby fine and limp and won’t do much of anything and now it’s all bouncy and pretty.
Thorin’s kinda irked, but Sir Guy has been VERY complimentary!!!!
See, that’s exactly what I want – bouncy and pretty. Forget Thorin – old man has to get used to modern times. Good on ya, Guy!!!
I figured Guy would say something about those ‘shorn locks’ – nope. He’s been very good. (I think he wants laid- nudge nudge wink wink.)
The second installment of William Edward should go up at DL tonight if I don’t fall asleep.
Oh, I look forward to that!

Yeah Zee! I couldn’t do it if I tried but I give you so much credit for donating your locks 😀
If it helps make one child feel better during such a rough time with their chemo, it’s worth it to me!

Mine is straight as a board and baby fine. Some say it’s ‘soft’ – I call it limp!

I made the comment to my hairdresser that people don’t like what they have and wish they had what they don’t have.
Awesome! Well done!
