Mom informed me on the news one of the local LARGE counties put out the all-call for all certifications. they’re offering incentives. If I don’t work tomorrow, I’ll be online looking to see if they really meant all certifications. God knows, I’ll take a history position, but I prefer music…
I started my college career as a Piano Performance Major. after I divorced and my ex moved to dead beat status. Spawn had serious SERIOUS health issues and I needed a job with insurance and bennies. So I swapped to Music Ed I still gave a Master’s Performance Level recital for my senior recital.
It’s been a long haul and I just need to play again. I don’t even know if the store I purchased all of my music is at is still open….in the same location. Can’t even remember the name. It’s been… 15 years…20 years…Shit. 20 years next spring…since I bought music.
Oh goodness. I can’t imagine how frustrating it must be to have been that good and not to be able to play! I really hope you are able to get back it soon,
It’s why I write. It lets off a bit of the steam temporarily. A creative outlet.
It isn’t working as well anymore. the last 2 times Spawn and I have been down to the coast to work on the storage unit, I’ve actively hunted for it. I’m afraid it’s way in the back of the unit (it’s 30 feet deep)
the first time I heard this was my freshman year in our weekly lab – a senior was playing it and a sophomore did the piano reduction and I was simply blown away. It has stuck with me ever since. It’s on my bucket list.
Very enjoyable. And she looks like she enjoyed playing it.
Oh, she was having a great time.
In recent months (all year) I’ve hurt wanting to play.
My arms HURT…
I know you have. And that’s been part of my prayers for you.

Amazing. You’re a pianist, Zee? I didn’t realise.
Yes and once upon a time, I was damn good.

PS I love that concerto, but I love the second one even more… The slow movement turns me into a puddle of slush. A bit like RA, really 😉
heh!
