Really, I do. My mother would tell you I have a serious problem and I need counseling, but I don’t think it’s THAT bad.
Well, I DIDN”T think it was that bad…
I splurged yesterday. I was paid over the weekend, it was quite a bit MORE than I”m used to… (best paycheck I’ve pulled since September 2010 that good of a check) and I… splurged.
I think I’m on every single free Kindle newsletter around. As a result, in the 2 years I’ve had my PC Kindle, I’ve accrued over 16000 books. This does not include the 3 or 400 on my handheld device. I know, I’m ashamed – when am I going to read THIS many books? Well I”m trying! honest!
In the time I’ve purchased free books – does one PURCHASE free books? I mean, really! – there have been more to the set, more by the author, the freebie was the THIRD in the series, not the first or second, I’ve acquired a rather sizable wish list.
So I did the unthinkable. I bought a 50.00 Amazon card and headed home with my ill-gotten gains.
I opened the wish list.
793 books on the wish-list. How did that happen? I looked again.
33 pages. 793 books on the wish-list.
Okay. We’ll start with the .99 books. I should be able to knock out the .99 and the 1.99 set, right???? I’ll start at the back, with the ones that have been on the list the longest….
Right now, this minute, I’m on page 17. I’ve only purchased the .99 ones and I have 6 bucks left. I wanted to hold onto at least 10 for when the last Deborah Harkness book comes out… but… I got carried away.
BUT I have 44 new books… along with the 16K plus books… and we’re not counting my 1T external full of ebooks…
I would refuse to admit I have a problem, but night before last my computer informed me my C drive was full – that was easy to fix, I moved things to my D drive, filing IT up, but when I looked to move things from the D drive, I discovered that my 7.5T of externals were full as well.
Meaning I bought a 3T external as well as the 50.00 Amazon card….
And, just because…
Everyone needs Pirate Guy on their blog. I didn’t do this.
